Debussy’s Clair De Lune Royalty Free

The sumptuous solo piano work Clair De Lune by Claude Debussy (1862-1918) is out now as royalty free production music track.

Recorded and produced by Jonathan Slatter this new release was made using the stunning Alecia Keys sampled piano – a virtual piano created by Danish sample specialist Thomas Skarbye (better known as Scarbee). The piano is Alecia Key’s very own Yamaha C3 Neo grand built in 2002 and represents the very top of the Conservatory Collection line, and the samples perfectly capture the warm, soulful and inspiring sound of the C3 – perfect for Clair De Lune.

Take a look at all the Royalty Free classical music available.

Background
Clair de Lune (moonlight) is part of Debussy’s Bergamasque Suite written around 1890, but not published until 1905. Clair De Lune was originally titled “Promenade Sentimentale”.

Medecins Sans Frontieres Somalia Appeal

In September 2011 YoPo Music is supporting the Medecins Sans Frontieres Somalia Appeal.

We are donating 100% of the proceeds from the new sound effects album – 92 More Transport Sound Effects – to the appeal. If you would like to help the appeal, please consider purchasing the new album here. The album consists of 92 new sounds of planes, trains, bikes, motorbikes, automobiles, boats and more.

Extract from the MSF UK Website

As prolonged drought grips Somalia, people are losing their livestock, homes and lives. Poor harvests, rising food prices, continuing violence and chronic poverty have further contributed to a sudden rise in malnutrition rates.

Many children are suffering from severe malnutrition with extremely low weight, signs of wasting and nutritional oedema. The security situation in Somalia is complicated, but because we are an impartial medical organisation and rely on charitable donations instead of government funding, we continue to be the only medical charity working in many areas.

There are hundreds of children and adults arriving at our clinics every day. Many of them need expert medical care for malnutrition, often whilst battling other severe conditions such as malaria and pneumonia.

You can help us save lives.

Testimonials for YoPo Music

In a broadcast and corporate media career spanning 30 years I have had regular requirements for library and composed music. In my books, buyout music purchase is the uncomplicated and ideal solution for all my music requirements especially when that music is produced at the hands of a competent composer with a feel for the director’s needs. Yopo music provides just that service. Thank you Jono.

“The music lends itself very well to underscore our productions and client feedback has been very positive indeed. With so much music out there it is nice to find a site with great tracks that are very competitively priced, and dovetail so well with effects and voice-overs on top. I will continue to use Yopo music and look forward to many more future releases.”

Chris Gillooly

We have found Yopo Music extremely useful in our productions over the past eight years.

We can normally find something that fits the bill whether it be a TV commercial or a video production.

By using Yopo Library Music we are able to keep our productions sensibly priced for our clients and Yopo has certainly helped us build our business.

Recording the album “Oceans and Dreams”

The album was recorded using Logic Studio running on an iMac i7 Apple computer.

Take a listen to the album here.

There are three pianos used on the album. The Steinway that comes bundled with Logic did most of the work, but I also used the Alecia Keys piano as well as the excellent Schimmel Braunschweig upright piano from Imperfect Samples.

The synths and pad sounds are mostly from Logic Studio but also Native Instruments Kore and the Albino 3.

Vocals were recorded on a Neumann u87ai.

See below for links to all the equipment and software used on the album.
